Lucas Insulation Pitches in for Injured Man

Lucas Insulation, based in Lexington, SC, volunteered its services to help The Home Builders’ Association of Greater Columbia in installing insulation in a home being built for local family man Brian Denny. Brian Denny, while working for Stock Building Supply in Columbia, SC suffered spinal damage on the job. The injury to his C3/C4 vertebra in his spine left Brian paralyzed from the shoulders down. Since his injury, Brian has spent the last 9-plus months in local hospitals and at the Shepard Center in Atlanta to help with his recovery and rehabilitation.

The home building community stepped up to help Brian and his family upon his return from the hospital to build a home that would help them lead a full and normal life. The home that was built for Mr. Denny has a ribbon cutting Friday, January 20th at 1:00 pm.

Charles Lucas, owner of Lucas Insulation, said “It was a real honor to be a part of something like this. This family is special and to be asked to have a hand in this was an amazing experience. We know they will love this home. We will be praying for them and hope that he and his family can get back to a normal life as soon as possible.”

Lucas Insulation was joined by other local home building suppliers and builders such as McGuinn Homes, Mungo Homes and Stock Building Supply, just to name a few.

Charles, my compliments to you and Columbia building community for the fine thing you did for Mr Denny. It's very reassuring to hear of things like that and friends and neighbors coming through with nothing to gain for themselves.
Charles I will be in Columbia on 4/5 demonstrating our Energy Star AccuVent soffit/attic ventilation products. (replaces cardboard, stuffed batts and foamed baffles) http://www.brentwoodindustries.com/spg/building-products/index.aspx

Hi,I own a child care center in Bend (as well as being an amauetr photog) and had the opportunity to take some of the children to the Humane Society this week for a field trip. WOW. Your photos of the dogs are incredible. BEAUTIFUL! The vet there, Crystal, actually came to my daycare when she was a little girl & now her son attends the Cottage as well. She had told me months ago that you had done some photog for the HS. So i went there, hoping to see your work. I was amazed by how beautiful your photos are.
